Asus R558ur is newly launched laptop with amazing specifications on paper. Let’s see how this on-spec beast performs in the real world scenario.
Build quality - The laptop has brushed finish on the front while the back of the display has glass. The build quality is above average but you cannot expect much in this price range.
Display - The Asus R558ur supports Full HD 15.6 inch display. The display is a TN panel which provides poor viewing angles and color contrast. I would prefer going for resolution of HD or 1366x1280 because laptops below Rs 60000 have TN panels in case of Full Hd display.
Performance - The performance of laptop is good. It is also one of the only laptops to support DDR4 4GB Ram which is slightly better than DDR3. I would suggest to replace the inbuilt 1TB hard disk with SSD for ultimate performance boost and booting time.
Conclusion - Asus R558ur is one of the rare pc to come with such a good price to performance ratio. The display is a downside but this is the only laptop to come with DDR4 ram.
