I recently bought a XOLO Q1010i and it was worth buying. Now I needed one more for myself and there came this ad in newspaper and I immediately started researching ASUS Zenfone 5. I on the same day preordered one. Now coming to the pros and cons:
1) Buttery smooth performance. Absolutely no lags. Games are running fast.
2) ZenUI is something different and nice.
3) Superslim and beautiful body. However its a bit slippery.
4) Gorilla screen makes for a hard screen.
5) Battery is OK, charges in 2 hours to 100% .
6) Audio quality is nice. Earphones give a theatre feel.
7) Screen quality is specless. Clarity is better than mentioned with dpi.
8) camera is cool. Good in low light conditions too. Of course there is Sony Sensor in that like Xolo Q1010i. ASUS has done good with its camera.
Cons:
1) Speaker volume is not very loud.
2) Screen brightness is not much. But it is still very appealing.
Well till now no other problems till now. I am a happy customer. Cheers to ASUS.
