Asus zenfone series is very successful for the company. Its design and overall feel made is tremendous. Now Asus introduced a new flagship phone its called Asus zenfone Zoom. Let’s know in detail and decide if you wanna buy this or not.
Design: Like the previous zenfone 2 series Zenfone Zoom look similar from the front but actual change you will notice when you turn your phone. In Zenfone 2 you get volume rocker in a back but in Zenfone Zoom you will get in a side. When you look Zenfone Zoom back you think its made by leather but you’re wrong its made by plastic with leather finishing which we call Plather( Just like note 3) . On side you will get a mettalic rim which feel good with round edges. The handset is 11mm thick and weight approx 180g. Overall it feel solid in hand and looks good while holding.
Display: Just like other Zenfone 2 series you will a massive 5.5inch full hd IPS display with 403 ppi. The display is sharp, crisp and look very good and the viewing angle is also good. Thumps up for the display.
Camera: This is the main thing of the phone and its a camera which we already know. 13mp rear camera with 10 elements lens with OIS and dual tone led flash, And the 5 mp front facing camera. And seriously camera perform very good in all lightning conditions and pictures look remarkably great. No more comments on camera.
Chipsets: Intel 64bit quad core processor with massive 4 gb ram and 128gb internal memory which is obviously expandable. A lag free performance in every tasks easily switching between application.
OS: Android 5.0 out of the box which is obviously upgradable to Android M. I really like Zen UI it is smooth and looks good the notification panel and icons. Asus improving their Zen UI in each and every update.
Bettery: Here Asus disappointed us a very good camera phone with a very lesser battery capacity. The bettery is just 3000 Mah and its support fast charging also but not happy with the bettery given in Zenfone Zoom. The phone which is 11mm thick at least give a bigger bettery like zenfone max 5000 mah. Its a camera phone so bettery will drain faster, not happy with this.
Price: Rs 37999 I don’t know what asus thinking while keeping price. Asus Zenfone Zoom packs lots of good features with a very massive price Rs 37999.
Verdict: Over all a very very good phone specially for those who loves photography. A powerful camera with powerful features but a over price. If any one love to buy go get it. If Asus reduce its price for approx 8k to 9k it will the keller phone for this price bracket or even it may be win the 2016 flagship kitter title.
