Mahesh Babu - A Legend in the Making

Hi,

After watching Okkadu (around 20 times!), I was waiting for this movie eagerly. It did not disappoint, but rather exceeded my expectations.

Loosely based on a Hindi movie starring Salman Khan (that was a yuck movie, by the way), this film is slick in its direction and action by its cast.

The plot revolves around the hero, growing up as an assasin, who actually has a tender heart underneath, a heart that has been forced to grow silent due to the demands of hunger.

He is betrayed by his childhood friend and forced to hide in a large family assuming another man’s identity. He is finally forced to confront his friend to clear his name and then they lived happily ever after.

Mahesh Babu puts in his typical restrained performance, introverted and intelligent as his role requires him to be. Rajiv Kanakal is a guest actor and shows that he can really act. If he gets longer roles, he will be one of the best actors to graduate from the small screen to the big one.

Naazar, Tanikella Bharani, Prakash Raj, Kota, Brahmanandam are veterans and support the hero exceptionally. Sonu Sood is becoming a good choice after Chandramukhi.

As with all Mahesh Babu films, he combines intellect with action, not the usual ’’I’ll do it on my muscle alone.’’ At this rate, he will be the superstar in the next decade.

Director Trivikram has done a great job, but with this cast and plot, I’m sure I can make the movie myself.

Regards
