I am writing a review for Atlanta Health Centre for women located in Southern Avenue, Kolkata –700029.
It is a small and very ordinary gym with very few machines only for ladies. I have joined this gym for two reasons:
I) The location which is convenient for me to come in themorning and then go to office.
II) It is only for ladies which is more comfortable.
The misbehavior I faced:
I) Usually it cost Rs 1500/- per month for 24 work out sessions. But in spite of giving the advertisement that they are giving monsoon discount till a certain date they didn’t gave. Without any notification they remove it and when asked for the reason they say, it is not our decision, the“MANAGEMENT’ decides. After requesting the contact number of management they diplomatically sideline the question.
II) They have sauna facility only on Wednesday &Saturday from 7:30 to 12:30 in the morning. In spite of that at 10:30 am the lady instructor saying I cannot let you avail the sauna facility as she forgot to start the sauna and asked me to come some other time. Thus they don’t value customers valuable time. At these occasions their rules can bend, not anytime for customers.
III) They advertise that they are a gym with AC facility.One day at May when the temp was at its highest limit, I came to do yoga andrequested the instructor Ms. Chanda, to switch on the AC as I am feelingbreathless. She told me that I have come at 8:50 am and my schedule in the gymis from 9:00 am. So, I have to wait for10 mins before she could switch on the AC. And she cannot do otherwise as it is not in their rule.
They didn’t care that I was so exhausted my blood pressurewent down to 65/110 and I was literally fainted later on.
IV) I go to the gym wearing track pants & tshirt. I am doing this for all the last months and I carry my office wear along with me.
On 28 June, 10 morning due to heavy rainfall I was totally wet when I reached the gym. So I changed my clothes to a pajama & kurta and requested the instructor ‘Sumana’to let me do light exercise on these clothes as I was totally wet. Though the gym was practically vacant, she sarcastically told me I am allowing you today but this cannot continue as this is not in their rule. I was shocked as this is the first day I requested and she saw me coming totally drenched, and I had to come to the gym, as I could not go back home and I go to office directly from gym.
I want to ask, is this is the behavior you do to your client?
Whenever you feel you can bend the rule for your advantage, but for customers rule is a rule and you take help of so called ‘MANAGEMENT”every time which you project as if it is a management of Reliance or Tata Group. Even there you can reach out to them through mails at least.
In spite of charging exorbitant price can’t you give a simple polite and personal behavior in return..
