I am huge fan of Dhanush from 2013 after watching Raanjhanaa. I can’t say I didn’t have huge expectations from the movie. However, Raanjhanaa is a one of a kind movie and you can’t expect someone to recreate such masterpieces every time. Being said that, Atrangi re is a good movie. Dhanush is Dhanush and he was excellent as always. The challenge was for Sara Ali Khan to act opposite to him, that too on a very difficult character. She has just nailed it. She was beyond expectations throughout the movie. The story and the climax become predictable after halfway. But the movie never gets boring or fails to hold audiences because of a very well written screenplay. Humanshu Sharma’s dialogues are as always mind blowing. Music is good but AR Rahman has created way better music before (such as Raanjhanaa, Taal and many others). I wanted to rate this movie a 7.5 but I had to rate an integer number, so I went with 8. This movie is definitely worth watching. If this was released on cinema halls, this would surely be a superhit movie, if not a blockbuster.
