This mall at Worli, wouldnt have been anything exceptional, had it not been for its choice of stores on display. Its a standard mall to start with, with a cramped up central atrium and some stores located in quiet corners one could easily miss.
However, its selection of brands in a certain segment is commendable. Promod, Imagine, Sony, Mango, La senza and Puma stores all come under one roof.
In times, when service is everything, stores like La Senza, Aldo and the Eco store do offer something extra than just extravagent products. Sadly, imported brands like Promod and Mango, who just have franchisees in India and no central office, seem to have gone haywire.
The MANGO store in particular, unlike its Khar counterpart is an unfortunate exception when it comes to service. Though the store is much better in terms of its spread and display, the service can be a huge let-down. The staff is one of the most unprofessional one would expect from a store of a high fashion international brand. On one occasion after billing and taking payment, the salesperson just walked to the other end of the store to chit-chat with the rest, completely forgetting to pack and deliver; on the other a staff meeting was being held during working hours, with no one bothereing to help. It seems Lack of Courtesy is an attitude they want to sport after all, adding to the elusive air, perhaps.
The food-court is a relatively good mix of cuisines and spread on the last floor. A nice place for a small meal or coffee.
Parking, ofcourse gets a little inconvinient with circling around the mall and then manouvering a terrible ramp to reach a sufficiently large basement, which could do with a little larger, evident and more effective signage system, as with the rest of the mall.
A good break from Phoenix mills, which is the only other mall in the area, but not ground-breaking enough to stand out from the crowd. Niche stores inside, but just another mall after all.
