Automart - RAMA SANGHI AUTO LTD, Though I purchased my Zen 1.5 years back from Automart - RAMA SANGHI AUTO LTD, in Delhi, after reading few reviews on MS on the same company, I am here sharing my experience as well.
When somebody goes for a second hand car, he looks for primarily 2 things: first is the car with a decent maintenance history and secondly, less number of problems and decent service after delivery.
I decided to purchase from Automart in spite of the higher price then the open market assuming that they will give a good and reliable product and a decent after sales experience.
Now, talking about the first point of good and reliable product – this car of mine has not given me any trouble whatsoever while on a move till date. But after almost 6 months of purchase I noticed that the A/C grill is not fixed but just hanging with some wires, as if the original owner has got this from some cycle repair shop. Anyway, I got it checked and since it has not given me any problem, so it is still fine.
So overall, the product seems to be ok.
But regarding the after sales experience -
a) The car looked good in appearance and while test driving also it performed well. Few issues which were noticed during the inspection were sorted out before the delivery of the vehicle.
b) Time taken for delivery was ok and vehicle was delivered the next day of deadline. For the initial few days, I noticed a couple of issues. The service workshop which is of the dealer (Rama Sanghi) was absolutely pathetic.
c) For a small problem of A/C Blower direction controller, I visited them 3 times; still their A/C mechanic was not able to rectify it. Maruti authorized service station took 30 mins and a replacement of 5/- to rectify it, since then it working fine.
d) 2nd problem noticed was of wheel alignment which they even refused to acknowledge. Again I got solved by visiting another shop and it got repaired.
e) A/C gas pipe leaked with in few days of delivery, which was replaced without much hassle.
These were the smallish niggling problems which are expected in a 3 year old car, what’s important here, is that the Automart was not prompt in resolving any of these.
Infact the workmanship and experience given to me was so pathetic, that I did not even availed the 2nd free service offered by them.
Therefore, my tips for those who are interested in a second hand car, Automart is a place for you, but please keep following things in mind.
1) The products are definitely more reliable than open market dealer, but please get them checked by authorized dealer or a reliable mechanic. Products are better as that is directly handled by Automart.
2) Don’t expect any great service from Automart as it is the responsibility of the dealer. Most of these Automart outlets are the dealerships of Automart. These outlets are owned by a local guy and service workshop is also theirs. Normally in all the outlets you can also find the guys from Automart Company. Get hold of them for all your jobs. They are mostly prompt in helping you and solving your issues. But the automart guys can also help you only up to a certain extent.
3) Automart claims that during the warranty period, the replacements will be through genuine spare parts, but this is not what I have experienced, so keep a eye on that as well.
4) After purchasing stick to a regular servicing schedule, since your car will be old.
