These days when violence and vulgarity is rampant is soft or otherwise in Indian movies, Autograph is a great relief.
I am not a tamilian by birth but spent my childhood in Madras. Later my father moved to Gudur after a.P. formation. Anyway, coming to the point straight I tender my sincere aplogies to all my co-members for my limited knowledge of the languge. But, I can certainly vouchsafe that I understood each and every bit of it and truly speaking I got tears with the opening song.
I experienced the same when I visited my native place Amalapuram after two decades!
I saw a VCD of somewhat better quality. I am still am trying to find a source in Madras where I can get the genuine copy by post. If you can help me it would be wonderful.
Coming to the movie, there is no story..... but true and natural events assembled in such a way that it became the autobigraphy of the hero! What an action and what song.....gnyabakamiriki....gnyabakamiriki....
The other song worth million rupees is Ovvoru pookalame..... Hats off to the writer, composer and singer chitra. I heard this song almost 50 times on https://raaga.com. A wonderful message for the failed, dejected, despaired, disappointed...and what not?
People of 50 and above and in particular the expatriates enjoy it very well as they experience the same when they visit their native villages with childhood girls grew up into mothers and the village teacher grew too old to recognise. But the proud and pleasure he gets when he sees his student coming out in flying colurs his joy finds no bounds. I experienced this personally. He remained as a middle class man but we turned out to be millionaires!
My utmost sincere complimennts to the Producer and Director and all the actors. I request them to come out with a another movie like this - which is as clean as a white paper.
