I bought a Suzuki 2 wheeler (Swish 125) from Automatic Suzuki, Sinhagadh Road, Pune. I was pretty excited, since I it’s been nearly 14 years since I drove a 2 wheeler and Swish is reported to be a pretty good vehicle.
I am shocked at the pathetic service and specially the unethical nature of one Mr. Chaitanya who calls himself the co-owner of this dealership.
The dealer sent me a quote that included a Seat cover and floor mat priced at Rs. 230 and Rs. 250 respectively. The quote also included Teflon Coating for Rs 650. I decided to go for these 3 accessories and paid the price in advance along with the amount of other accessories and the vehicle.
On the day of the delivery, the dealership tried to pass me the seat cover and floor mat of Suzuki Access instead of Swish. When I brought this to their notice they said available and would provide me with one whenever available. Also I realized that they had lied about the Teflon coating and they were peddling ‘Silicone Glaze’ instead of Teflon Coating.
I escalated this to Mr. Chaitanya. He promised me that I would get both the accessories for Swish when I come to collect the registration number. He also said that someone would call me about the Teflon Coating.
After, 8 days, he called me that the registration documents were ready and I could come and collect them along with the swish accessories.
When I went to collect the documents, my seat cover was replaced. He again tried to pass the floor matting for Access. On again bringing it to his notice he said I will get it whenever it’s available. Furthermore, this guy told me that the registration documents were actually at his other branch (7 kms away) and I will have to collect the documents from there or come again later.
I did collect the documents (invoice and insurance) from the other dealership, and to my dismay saw that both the documents had my incorrect address.
Till now my bike has not received any Teflon coating. The floor mat is the one of Access and doesn’t fit my vehicle. The documents have incorrect address. I am sure these guys also put the address in RTO as incorrect and hence the RC might not reach my address. This guy has the audacity to call me to his branch – 4 kms – saying that the documents were ready and then tell me that I will have to collect from some other branch or come at a later time.
I wonder if anyone else has ever received such a pathetic service from any dealer of any brand.
I think one of the reaons Suzuki will never be able to reach its full potential in India is due to these kind of dealers.
