Like many would say that the movie is good as far as visual effects are concerned, I too second that. But James Cameroons work doesnt end there. He has also brought the story beautifully. When the HomeTree fell I had tears in my eyes. We can relate the situation on Pandora to that on our Earth and the recent Copenhagen Summit only strengthens it.
Even earthlings have contributed to massive destruction of flora and fauna over the years and continue to do so. The movie mirrors the stark reality and we start questioning our actions and responsibilities towards Nature. The animation is to the tee! With life-like creatures in bright blue and pearly dots looking so appealing, it is hard to believe that they were made on a computer.
It is like James Cameroon created another complete world of Pandora which was whole and complete in itself without the need of any human beings. But definitely the movie is for visual effects and animation lovers. If given a ratio, 80% of the movie has visual appeal, with lights and shiny forests looking a perfect fairyland. Definitely worth a watch once!
