What makes me post this review is the fact that Ive read the review and to some extent agree with it. When we had stayed there, we arrived from out of the rain at 1130 p.m. It was a real downpour and we virtually knocked down the gate to get in. In the process waking up the sleeping guard! We secured a room, paid in cash and proceeded to our room. Clean, comfy and adequately spacious. Nothong to write home about though.
The food was nice. Tasty. And in good enough quantity. We had seen the place as one where you can just unwind. Relax. Chill out in each others company etc etc.all the things you cant do with the maid-servant around and a driver knocking down your door wanting to drive.
So we spent a lot of time in the room, watching tv, playing a few games of TT in the "sports room" sitting by the pool enjoying a few beers, relishing the snacks but more importantly revelling in the quiet and solitude.
About the payment problems that one of the reviewers spoke about.man you gotta understand that pace of life there is very very chilled out. Dont expect a person to jump to it. Or for the hotel to have 24 hr net access. Its not a place that has high traffic so dont expect things to really snap to it when you require it to.
Ive found the hotel per se to be a sleepy place that is totally unplugged from the rest of the world. So when we got our room, I made it a point to tip the boy a little something extra. That ensured prompt service. True enough if we wanted anything I asked for that particular boy who jumped to it. Make the system work for you, buddy. Spreading a little green around means you get good service as the guys anyway dont get paid all that much.
Needless to say, overall it was a nice experience and I and my wife am planning on going there again. Lets see how toI get around the payment issue.
