I understand tie-up between Maruti and Citibank is expiring by 31-Dec- 2009. So, that I got issued new indian oil gold credit card. When it issued, they have swapped with all transaction to my new credit card, but NOT the reward points, which accumulated on my maruti card. For that customer call center suggested me to redeem from Maruti outlets.
Now the Maruti Autocard got expired on August 2009. Maruti outlets confirmed that I can redeem the reward points, if the Maruti CC is valid. So, I requested citibank officials, that, either please re-issue me new maruti autocard, so that I redeem the reward points, OR transfer my reward points to my new indian oil gold card.
When I explained this case to customer call center about the situation and requested for further action, then immediately the customer care centre lady saying that New Maruti card cannot be issued and also, it cannot be transferred need credit card, so I need forfeit those reward points. I was very surprised for such a reply and again persisted the same, then, she is saying that, she is not able hear my voice and simply disconnected. I remember her name was Kruthiga. I never expected such rude behaviour.
Now I have sent an email to Citibank senior officials, and almost two days over, still not received any response. I do not know what further action to be taken.
