Ding Dong for over 20 years

I have been an Avon representative for over 20 years now on and off.


I would dearly miss it if I was to give up.


Yesterday I had my order delivered , they are very reliable with the delivery and if Iam out they know where to leave it.


I have only about 25/30 customers , but they have been with me for years and have always stuck by me.


Iam in the Presidents club at the moment, I sold over £4, 000 in a year which is the Bronze category.


For that I got to choose a prize out of the Reach for the Stars booklet.


I could have gone to a free dinner dance where you get wined and dined all night plus a free gift.


I have been in the Presidents Club twice now but I have never been to the dinners yet.


I work full time also, so I don’t have the time to go to the event.


If you put a lot of time and effort into selling Avon, you could do really well.


I get 30% commission but vat is deducted leaving about 24%.


It is extra spending money for me every three weeks.


There are 18/19 campaigns out each year, normally an order will go in every three weeks.


Sometimes over peak seasons there might be a book out every fortnight.

The success of my little business is, be reliable, never let a customer down, give out regular samples, and always carry a book with you at all times.


I have a customer who takes the brochure to work with her, she sometimes gets me quite large orders.


I always reward her with a freebie.


I can guarantee that she will re-order that product.

Commission.


End of line products, you get to buy them really cheap, great for pressies.


Demonstration Products.


Get to view products before they are launched in the brochure. You get them cheaper and if you are in the Presidents Club . sometimes get the products even cheaper.


Meeting new people, I have gained many good friends through doing this. Great for any shy people.


The Beginning.

Introduce yourself with the first book.


There’s nothing worse than just shoving the book through the door.


Once established you can put the book through the door.


Keep a note (you get a book free) of peoples names and addresses, in case you forget where you have posted the books.


Include a sample with every book at first, then a sample when a new product comes out.


Be reliable, leave the book for about 3 days, if they haven’t had time to read it, leave your phone number or call back.


Some of my customers now will leave the book outside if going out or phone me.


Smile and be friendly, don’t be disappointed if they don’t order everytime.


Percevere, Sometimes a customer will only order a couple of times a year, it is still valuable.


Wear an Avon product, people do comment on the smell, the colour etc.


And last but not least.


Deliver on time, and enjoy it.
