Last night, I tried reaching the toll free number of Axis bank credit card, my Citibank credit card was taken over by Axis, I wanted to add my credit card to Gpay and it directed me to call bank to verify as a safety measure, but they kept transferring my call between Credit card and UPI dept. Without giving a solution. Actually their staff do not listen, instead they presume and shift the responsibility.
I miss Citibank services, they always heard is and provided solutions, though it takes some time to reach them.
I have decided to close my Credit cards with Axis, I held it back as these were my first cards issued way back in 1997 by Citi.
