My sincere suggestion is: Stay away from Axis bank.As Ive my salary account is with this bank, Im left with a little option. I wonder if Ill change my job to get rid of this dangerous bank.
This is not only the worst private bank in India, it is far more worse than most of the PSU banks in terms of customer care and services.
They are even miles ahead of ICICI in deducting the charges. And customer care, beyond imagination. If you are lucky enough, youll be able to get connected to the customer care executive, leave about getting a solution. Every time you call them, you have to explain the whole story and then in between call will be disconnected. Again youll have to wait for 1 hr to get the call. And by that time its 5PM. The customer care is closed for the day. Thanks.
As per the rules, DD issuance charges are waived for salary accounts. But theyll still deduct saying out of pocket expenses. They gave the offer for free mobile banking with absolutely no conditions and then after sometime, I saw mobile banking charges in my statement. It was made chrged without informing. I called to stop them on April 1, but they still deducted the whole amount because I was 1 day late.
They deduct the outward ECS charges. If you call them or mail them, youll not get satisfactory answer. Then out of sudden theyll reply you that this is the charge mentioned in schedule of charges. Actually they first deduct the charges and if they get any related complaint, they update the new charges in the website and then respond to the complaint. I doubt if there will be anyone wholl be archiving their schedule of charges everytime, he makes a transaction.
Getting a chequebook seems to be just an effort of click. But not with Axis Bank. It took me long 28 days to get it after so many calls and mails.
My suggestion is if you have account with Axis bank and cannot get it closed, better keep atleast 1 complete cheque book in store. And if you have any complaint directly mail to Grievance cell.
Good Luck.
