I have an axis bank credit card since last one year. Everything was working fine, until the month of November 2011, when I was out of the town and I arrived in the town on the due date of my credit card bill. Being the last date to do the payment, as advertised by axis bank, I tried to pay the outstanding credit card bill with my debit card from the Axis bank ATM.
To my surprise, none of the AXIS bank ATM’s accepted the payment and everywhere it was coming as timed out. Next day I called up customer care number 18002095577, where I was rudely advised and told how to make payment by the servicing useless customer care agent who couldn’t even speak English properly and also advised to call the customer in case the payment for the bill is not accepted from the ATM.
I did it again the same way and it didnt work, now here even I was out of my cheque book leafs and so I couldn’t do the payment even by cheque. Thus I missed the due date for the payment and I was charged debit interest and late payment fees. On repeatedly calling customer care they said Their ATMs are working fine and accepting the payment while even today they are giving the same error.
On escalating this complaint to the escalation team, they promise to give the call back but the call never comes, surprisingly when I call up again the customer care, their systems are never updated and their history says I just called up for the banking queiries (it seems that customer care executive to hide their fault, update wrong information against the customer).
Please do not use axis bank cards and trust me their customer care is horrible in INDIA. For their fault they charge customers and update wrong information in their systems.
Forget the customer care you would never get the resolution for the complaint made.
