Cast:
Surya, Madhavan, Sidharth,
Isha Deol, Meera Jasmine, Trisha.
Refreshing style, good music, charming performers... what more can you ask for from an excellent story teller like Mani Ratham. Ayutha Ezhuthu has a strong screenplay, Mani has chosen to reveal the plot in a non linear style. The Three Protagonists in the movie have different philosophies of life and live under different circumstance. The style in which the flashback is revealed after the accident on the bridge is appealing.
Michael (Surya), a student-leader, who is very principled and dreams of cleansing the corrupt political system plays the demigod in campus, who takes the cause of clean politics to the villages and fights corrupt leaders. We see Surya transformed to Michael on screen, his body language is amazing. Good performance!
Arjun (Sidharth)a student, wants to settle in USA and wants to enjoy life, his father has huge plans for him, he wants him to take up IAS. He is inspired by Michael and decides to support the cause to cleanse the political system.
Inba ( Madhavan) plays a henchman to a corrupt politician. Brilliant performance by Madhavan.
The Female counter parts have very little scope to perform. The story is interesting but the climax is not very impressive.
Rehmans scintillating music makes you hum, some of the songs are brilliant and are well picturised. Oh Yuva, Yuva. which is excellent, Hey Goodbye namnba and Sandai Koli... is appealing.
Cinematography by Ravi K. Chandran is Brilliant.
