After Kannathil Muthamittal which had lots of orchestrations and plenty of melodies for which A.R.Rahman and Vairamuthu received National Award, the same combo Maniratnam - A.R.Rahman - Vairamuthu come out with techno stuff in Aayitha Ezhuthu The album is full of energy and will be liked by the youth.
Hey GoodBye Nanba
Sunitha Sarathy, Shankar Mahadevan, Lucky Ali, Karthik
The treatment used in this song reminds of the (g)olden era. The song starts with sunita with a low husky voice and suddenly changes to rock kinda stuff with the lines nee yaaro naan yaaro kan thondri kan kaana kaneero is very catchy and ARR does a good job in voice modulation. Shankar and Sunita have done a excellent job, nothing to talk about Karthik and Lucky Ali. On the whole a nice song will be liked by all. Sure HIT
Jana Gana Mana
A.R.Rahman, Karthik
ini oru ini oru vidi seivom, vidiyanai maatrum vidi seivom Vairamuthu rocks!!!
The song starts with fantastic beats and guitar and the chants o Yuva is very energetic.ARR uses glass breaking sounds this reminds if chandraleka song from Thiruda Thiruda . This one is a revolution song tell youth to fight againt social evils and asks all the youth to unify. ARR is the only singer who can perform this song effectively. Dont know why Karthiks name features in this song cannot find him. A sure winner
Sanda Kozhi
Madhushree, A.R.Rahman
This song could have been the best in this album but thanks to Madhushree for spoiling the wonderful tune and Tamil. Doesnt Tamil music industry have good female singers? Dont know why Rahman chose Madhusree. Anyway the song starts with beats of clay pots and it has very catchy folk tune. When the singer sings aiyya it reminds me of a song from Thalapati . A.R.Rahman does an excellent aalap. Overall a good tune but the singer kills Tamil.
Dol Dol
Blaaze, Shahin Badir
Only ARR can do such kind of stuffs in India . The Trombone piece by Maxwell reminds me of James Bond music anyways the tune is catchy, foot tapping number. The beats is similar to Shakalaka Baby then changes to Punjabi kind of at the end. This song has indeed fantastic Programming. A foot tapping number
Nenjam Ellam
Adnan Sami, Sujatha
Again Adnan spoils the song; dont know why ARR chooses these kinds of singers in Tamil. But his cool voice suites the mood of the song. S imple tune full of techno beats. Maybe ARR should have used original instruments, could have made good utilization of Naveen.
Yaakai Thiri
A.R.Rahman, Sunita Sarathy, Tanvi
A.R.Rahman sings in an amazing manner the way he sings Fanah it fades away slowly is mind blowing. Vairamuthus Lyrics are an asset. The best part of the song is when ARR goes classical ?sa pa ma pa?.? Only Rahman can imagine, think and deliver this type of song.
He is truly a genius. Best song of the album!!!
Many are not satisfied with this album as they complain its nothing but a remix album. But as far as I am concerned this album should find its place among A.R.Rahmans top 5 albums. We should appreciate A.R.Rahman for giving us a different kind of album rather than same type of duets.
He has indeed entertained in this album but yes this album is not for masses, but will be liked by YUVA (Youth).
