MR + ARR -> Success + Good Music

Dear All,

Now Njoying Aayitha Ezhuthu songs. The whole afternoon today, I was hearing the songs. Woww...Really good. All are rich in instruments. A brief revu of all the songs. (I dont think I am elegible for writing a revu on ARR or IR songs. So plz don’t expect technical details from my revu. And one more thing. I’m just ordering(ie: ranking) the songs in which order I like. Not giving marks.)

Side A:

Hey Good bye: ( 5/6 )

This one starts with a gud melody. But if ARR continues this pattern till the end, I wud be happy. In the interludes, he goes to high pitches like in English songs(Many english melody songs r like tat..na?? starts with gud melody n then going to high pitch) It spoils the gud work. But he again mixes the same n ends up in a gud manner. ie: He ends the song with the same as the starting. (Like Poove Sem Poove song)

Janaganamana: ( 3/6 )

Another good one. Its simply like Rap. Full of sentences. ARR brings gud music out of a text like https://lyrics. Especially, the center of the songs, ’’Kuraithu, nilai niruthu, ....’’ The instruments looks very different. In the casette itself, they specially mentioned the names who helped to play the instruments.

Sandai Kozhi: ( 2/6 )

I would give 1st place, if this song sung by any other singer who knows Tamil well. Madhu Sri(new one??) singer of the song, If I say it in tamil... Tamizhai Kadithu, kudhari, Thuppi, etc... I wonder... Even from Sukvindar Singh itself MR brought a satisfiable Tamil pronounciation. But wat happened to MR here. Maybe the story needed?? Maybe, Esha Deol might not know Tamil well in the film. So tat it might be looked like. Anyway, Lets wait till the film comes.

The humming given in the interludes again proved Rahman. It seems like ARR sings the humming also. ARR perfectly stops the song in one part... b4 ’’Konja neram Ennai kollaiya’’. It seems like Gazal. (Techies, plz clarify)

Side B:

Dol Dol: ( 6/6 )

This is a Musical Piece. I read in ARR grp tat, one music piece is used for dance. This might be tat one. This is not much appealing. It gives me feeling like ’’I hav heared this beat somewhr else also’’.

Nenjam Ellam : ( 1/6 )

I give 1st place to this song. I haven’t heard such tune before. Wo http://www...what a tune.. The music is also good. Moreover, we can hear the https://lyrics. I donno which instrument ARR used for this song. Sometimes it looks like Guitar, sometimes like Keyboard. Anyway a good song (Adnaan Saamy’s 2nd Tamil Song after Boom Boom 4m Boys??). I shud hav told abt the https://lyrics. Or else Vairamuthu’voda paavam ennai summa vidaathu. I will explain some parts in the song as far as I can. U may end up with different views. So please bear with me if I tell anything wrong. (My english alsomight be one another reason)

Lyrics: ’’Kaadhal ennai varudum pothum... En manasellam Maargazhi thaan, Iravellaam Kaarthigai thaan’’

Meaning:

When love touches me, my soul looks like Maargazhi, night looks like Kaarthigai.

Explanation:

Maargazhi, Kaarthigai r 2 Tamil months. Maargazhi comes in Dec 15 - Jan 15. During tat period, it is winter. IE: When she falls in love with him, her soul(manathu) will be very cool. (romba kulirchiyaaga feel pannurathu)

During Kaarthigai season, all in TamilNadu switch on all lights. All streerts look like day even in the night itself. Explanation of the lyrics: When she falls in love, All nights becomes Kaarthigai. ie: looks like day.

Lyrics: ’’En vaanam en vasathil undu. En boomi en vasathil illai’’

Meaning: I cud control my sky. But cudnt my earth. ie:whr I stand.

ie: when the spouse is thr, she is flying in the air. So she cudnt control the lower portion earth.

Yaakkai Thiri: ( 4/6 )

ARR was trying to mix up Western with Indian. I think somewat successful. Here also the humming matters. When the male sings, thr is a humming(aahh, , ahaa..). Again at the end the song... for the western music thr is a humming. similar to Kannalaney, but in a different manner. At the same time, the lady voice manages to control the western. A gud piece.

Here also lyrics r gud. Very simple sentences. Woww... vairamuthu... But, I think, u cud not hear the lyrics in the song. Anyway, it was printed in teh casette cover.

Overall, Eventho’ the songs gud to hear, I cudnt find ARR’s favourite flute anywhr in anysong. But now he uses Guitor verymuch. (Going to western music?) But, I think, its not much appealing. Guitor didnt give me tat much pleasant as Flute.

B4 finishing I want to ask onething.... Whether this album cud be hearable even after 2 yrs (as Roja, Iruvar is gud even now)

P.S: The above r only my views. No intention to hurt anybody. If u find anything, excuse me.

Thanx n Regards,

Athi
