This movie is of least interest for many if it didn’t star Prabhas. It’s a long awaited movie for Prabhas fans all over the world. Truly speaking, the portrayal of the protagonist of the movie’Bahubali’ himself is very humbled. Many people feel that the director has put special interest in presenting Rana Daggubati who played the adversary in the movie. Surely Rana has performed very well in the movie but it’s the director’s way of portrayal of the characters that has not made real justice to the story. For instance, the costumes and fighting techniques of Ballaladeva(Rana) are way better than that of Bahubali’s(Prabhas). To people who watched movies like’Mirchi’ and’Chatrapathi’ it’s obvious that a very minute part of Prabhas is used by the director in the movie Bahubali.
Talking about the technical stuff, the visual effects are stunning and definitely an upgrade in comparison to other Indian made movies. It’s a known fact that there are a lot of animation and vfx companies in India delivering award winning content to Hollywood movies and are never properly used by Indian film directors. But here in Bahubali we can see the director of the movie S.S. Rajamouli has very creatively made use of the artistic skill of Indian artists. If we start nitpicking, surely there are flaws here and there but the overall movie has turned out to be a successful integration of animation, vfx and the storyline.
Music by M.M. Keeravani is another best element for the movie which went a step ahead from the usual telugu movie style background score especially in the climax part. Songs are perfectly placed in the story lineup gelling well with the flow.
Casting is good apart from some amateur performances from a few junior artists which were kind of silly at times. The lead roles were thoughtfully selected and made justice to their characters.
Dolby Atmos is a grand addition to the movie since it really stands out when watching it in Dolby Atmos supported theatres. The audience will enjoy a truly immersive experience for sure.
After all its not just another routine telugu movie which you would watch every day but it is something that changed the perspective and set new standards in the Indian film industry.
