Jai Verma ( Sidharth Malhotra) & Diya Kapoor ( Katrina Kaif) are about to get married when the former suddenly realisea that his calling is actually Mathematics. With a sacred thread around his wrist and a bottle of champagne going to his hand, Jai fell asleep & first wakes up ten days, then two years & finally 30 years later, to see the consequences of his indifference towards his family, also comprising his mother ( Sarika) & father-in-law ( Ram Kapoor) .
Sidharth Malhotra is a top-drawer hunk with an easy charm about him, but one wonders if Mathematics had ever fascinated him in either school or collage. No wonder he looks dazed in all of his scenes. Katrina Kaif has got a perfectly svelte figure for all the glamour acts, but her historonic skills are limited.
The music by Amaal Malik, Arko, Badshah, Bilal Saeed & Jasleen Royal is the best thing about the movie.
