I have come forward to write this review since I have pursued my Engineering in Information Technology( B.Tech( I.T)) from this very institute - 2001 Batch
For me, Baba Banda SIngh Engineering College played a significant role in making strong career foundation( presently I am working at an MNC in Pune).
Equipped with the best of infrastructure and pretty good faculty, the college serves a perfect platform for the students eyeing job in Software Industry.
Since Punjab still has a long way to go before even come near I.T Hubs like Bangalore, Hyderabad, Pune etc, it becomes much more significant to get good exposure at graduation level to programming.
College has progressed by leaps and bounds over the past few years and many of its students have got jobs in good MNC’s in I.T cities.
The college is located at Fatehgarh Sahib( close proximity to Patiala, Chandigarh, Ludhiana) and plays a significant role in grooming talent in and around these cities.
For a student eyeing software industry from Punjab, its pretty difficult to make selection among colleges under Punjab Technical University( due to mushrooming of colleges under Punjab Technical University) but personally I will recommend this college for engineering courses.
Apart from this, the college plays a central stage to various technical, cultural and sports events.
In nutshell, 4 years a BBSBEC can provide you exposure from where you can build upon the solid foundation.
Placement front still need to be improved a lot but frankly have a good knowledge of level of good technical education in Punjab, I will really prefer it over other institutes( after Thapar, PEC of course).
