Education is not the learning of facts, but the training of mind to think and I believe that education should go beyond four walls of the classroom and help in gradual up-gradation and growth of an individual. It’s a brilliant combination of knowledge, wisdom, skill and intellect.
The mission of our institution is to ensure 100% quality placement of students of all the courses so that we can serve our society by plummeting one of its major evil ’White Collar Unemployment’. To achieve this ambitious target of 100% placement, we are working on 360 degree dimension for growth of students. In order to achieve our primary goal along with the academic excellence inputs we are strengthening our students on the front of employability, practicability and social sensitivity. On the front of employability, BFGI have designed its employability scorecard containing 360 degree appraisal of students and their internal assessment is based upon the same. We are growing and nurturing the students who are career oriented professionals through our industry sponsored live projects/consultancy projects. The concept of ’Earn while Learn’ is enabling our students to earn money while they are learning and pursuing their degrees and to become financially independent by reducing the burden on their family. Along with this, BFGI has been the first institute in the region to provide the Global exposure to its students in 100+ countries. Lot many students of BFGI has visited several countries including Egypt, China, Vietnam, Thailand etc. for their internships under BFGI’s Global Internship Programme in collaboration with AIESEC.
A School of Skill Development has been established at BFGI campus to promote skills of students. BFGI is working diligently with numerous renowned foreign Universities of several countries including The University of British Columbia, Canada, University of Oslo, Norway, Singapore University of Technology & Design, Singapore, British Columbia Institute of Technology, Canada, Thompson Rivers University, Canada, University of Fraser Valley, Canada to name the few to provide international exposure to students. It was a great experience to accompany his Excellency, Honorable President of India, Mr. Pranab Mukherjee on a business delegation to Norway. Recently I have visited USA, Canada, Singapore, Norway and Germany for business delegations.
For converting our students into socially sensitive citizens we have been dedicating each year to specific social cause since year 2010. Year 2012 was dedicated to Live Green which has been converted into LIVE GREEN- BFGI Social Awareness Campaign. We are organizing mass level awareness seminars to make our students, parents and society aware of the harms of pollution and ways to make own and others life healthier by living in a greener way. The institute is organizing state and national events to target the most urgent need of the hour and that is upliftment of the females in the Indian Society.
Our ultimate aim is to transform Baba Farid Group of Institutions into a Hi-Tech University with the core motive of having industry friendly curriculum to mould the students into socially responsible citizens. BFGI is all set to become a University with its exceptional ’Unique Industry Academia Interface Model’ which has been prepared after years of research to eradicate the biggest problem of the world ’unemployment’ and we are positively moving towards the achievement of this worthy goal.
