Babil Cargo operates out of Sharjah. When I had to move my articles from Dubai to India I searched for a reliable’packer and mover’ to transport my stuff. So being Indian I called Air India if they could assist. The person who took my call, referred me to one Mr Anil of Babil.
I called and he quoted a great price(They quote less so we take the bait). So we set a date for my things to be moved. I packed everything neatly for them to carry. But just before leaving, the guys asked for tip money. Since I’d already spent 3, 500 dirhams I politely declined.
This must’ve made them angry, because out of 18 boxes only 11 made it to India. One of the boxes carried our expensive Sharp Microwave Oven, while others carried expensive household articles and branded clothes and shoes(Like Tommy Hilfiger, Bally, Timberland, Lacoste). They deliberately put wrong consignment numbers on them, I feel.
Its been two months since these thieves made off with my cargo. One of them called us and tried to blackmail us to pay him Rs. 10, 000 to return the goods, but we didn’t entertain him. My only recourse now, is to lodge a complaint with both the Sharjah Police and the Indian authorities.
So deal with this company at your own risk.
