Some songs never grow old; they just sound better and better every time we listen to them.
Some voices sound as melodious as they ever did.
Some singers remain close to our hearts, always.
When we talk of the genre of Indian Disco and Pop, the name Nazia Hasan is the most remembered and loved one.
She made it real big in the Indian and Pakistan pop industry in the 80s.
Her great voice and amazing singing style have given us some memorable feet-tapping songs that are a delight to listen and get you in your dancing shoes, even today!
Being an ardent fan, I owe this great singer a review on Mouthshut!
So, heres a journey into her exquisite songs.
1-- Aap jaisa koi : From the movie Qurbaani released in 1980. I have loved this song ever since I was a kid.Beautifully sung by Nazia Hasan. The song got her a Filmfare award. I read, Nazia was only 15 when she sung this song!
Isn’t it amazing?
The song was composed by BIDDU. He composed almost all songs for Nazia Hasan.

hai jab tak zamin.
The sound track of the movie also have some other good songs like ooie ooie and yaadon mein khoya sung by zoheb hasan.
ooie ooie is a very catchy number!
9-- Aankhen milaane waale : From the album Young Tarang , which came out in 80s.It was re-released by Biddu few years back.
A very sweet and melodious song.
10-- Dum dum dee dee dum dum : Last but not the least, another love song from album Young Tarang.
Dum dum dee dum dum, yaad mujhe bas yehi sanam..dum dum dee dee dum dum, saath rahenge janam janam...
Songs like Dosti and Aag also got famous from the same album.
Nazia Hasan lost her fight against cancer and passed away in London in the year 2000.
Today, Music Industry is flooded with pop singers. They are good, but I always feel that the void created by Nazia Hasan, still exists.
Nazia Hasan rocks!
Cheers,
Senorita.
