Watch it for Sujoy Ghosh's detailed writing and powerful dialogues( with Raj Vasant as cowriter) and direction and powerful acting by Amitabh and Tapsee Pannu who has shown many shades of her acting ( that to in front of the AB! ) Though its a predictable murder mystery it does not happen in a court room( its a batttle between client and lawyer and the possibilities of the truth and you get connected instantly, forgetting the annoying mobile flashes by neighboring lady on WA) and many flashbacks and twists keep you glued till the end! The editing ( Monisha) and background score add to the story, also Avik Mukhopadhyay's cinematography in Scotland is awesome. The forests , lakes, deers, ice laden trees, gloomy ambience of wintertime Glasgow add to the chilling mystery. You love the zigzag plotting and we keep on paying attention to the details as Amitabh keeps on telling Tapasee this, "Pay attention to the details. The answer is in the details, ” So we conclude the end but Sujoy gives it one more twist( watch it for that) Tony Luke is a good choice as her secret lover Arjun . Amrita Singh is a nutural actress and you remember her more than the protagonists.
Ii would windup by saying that its a complete package with fantastic Mystery Thriller and yet another solid performance from the legend Amitabh Bachchan. After the pink movie both Big B and Tapsee are casted together and it seems the duo Amitabh Bachchan and Tapsee Pannu have a great understanding . If you love crime thrillers , just go and watch this and you won't feel like taking badla on me for recommending it for sure
