Bagdogra International Airport is the main Airport of the entire North Bengal and Sikkim region. Due to North Bengal, Eastern Nepal and Sikkim’s tourist attraction places, the airport serves as the main gateway to these places especially also owing to the fact that it is just an hour’s drive from the main city of Siliguri of this region. The airport needs to be further increased in size due to the air traffic on the rise as more people use this airport due to its geographical location. The need for more and improved infrastructure is the need.
