Yes, baileys introduced me to the world of alcohol. and I think that it was the best way to start. I do not like and would not even recommend beer to start with. I think that you should start with liqueur or soft white wine if you really want to relish the taste and not get drunk. it is ideal for girls who are really afraid of getting drunk.
liqueurs are very mild and sweet. they are fruit extracts and hence are pleasant smelling and light. baileys, in fact, is very smooth and tastes like a milk shake. the best ways to have baileys are as follows :
Drink it with lots of crushed ice. it will taste heavenly. Drink slowly and enjoy it.
Make really hot coffee. if you have brazilian coffee beans, that would be ideal. Add baileys (coffee : baileys should be 30:70 percent) and chill out. Don’t try this concoction if you are a beginner.
Although baileys is very mild, you can add chilled chocolate milk to make it even milder. Don’t forget to add crushed ice (very well crushed)
I you really like baileys and want to explore new avenues try peach or apricot liqueur. if you are a chocolate of cofee lover, try chocolate/coffee liqueur.
if you are getting confident and want to try something little stronger, try champagne with peach or apricot liqueur ( 3-4 teaspoonful of liqueur in glass of champagne). its just out of this world.
