I had my car insured with bajaj alliance(unfortunately.) I met with an accident and my car was pretty damaged. First the surveyor(Pradeep) did not visit the service showroom within the time frame of 24 hours despite repeated requests. Further when ever I tried to reach him he was ever busy and unavailable.
2 days gone by I receive a call from service station my claim was not approved. The surveyor says since I had mentioned there was no 3rd party damages he wanted me to provide a statement on a 100rs bond paper with notary signature stating I will never make any claims in future. I feel the whole essence of insurance failed here. At thst point in time I did not know if there were any 3rd party damages. He was hell bent saying my claim will be approved only on me furnishing the documents. I provided the bond paper any still had to wait a day to get approval.
My new tyre burst during the accident hence I had to use my spare tyre. He says the damaged alloy wheel and tyre wont be covered under insurance since it was in the boot of the car and how will he know if the claim was genuine. Do bajaj expect one to drive with damaged tyres? This perplexed me. I had to get in touch with higher ups in bajaj to get approval. Which further ate 2 days.
If you like trouble go ahead with bajaj insurance.
