I started Rugby training with Elche Rugby Club. I joined the Veterans team and attended training over 2 months before my first game. I was not given any medical before I started and as a veteran at 52 years young I had no problems with my knees previous to me joining the Rugby Club.
The Rugby Federation use Allianz for the insurance cover which is where it all goes wrong. I have an injury through Rugby and they have refused to pay for the operation, stating it must have happened before I joined. I have played hours of Rugby training and now I can not walk up steps properly.
I would never recommend Allianz to anyone and the way they treat you is like you don’t mean anything, apart from when they collect your insurance money! My rating is Zero out of Ten.
