When I thought of buying this cruiser, I had bit hesitation as I am 5.11 tall guy but after taking test ride I was little convinced. Thought lets give a try!
Once I started riding my avvy, I realized why this cruiser bike is so famous!. There is huge difference in riding a cruiser and a sports bike. Mainly when it comes to riding comfort. Usually you cant ride sports bikes for longer distance as it will give you terrible back pain. But this little monster will make your ride pain free. Thanks to foot peg position and raised back seat which gives you cruiser riding position. Another best part is pillion rider safety because of back rest.
The pickup is really good as its powered with 220cc engine. Within 5 to 6 seconds it can easily clock 60 kph.
Gear shifting is very smooth and you may need little practice to bring it to Neutral mode though!. Initially, I experienced little problem with maneuvering traffic because of stretched front wheel base, but now I mastered it. Also You got to be careful while applying front disc brake when negotiating turn as you may skid off the rod. Many people complain about this. Turning radius is bit larger compared to normal bikes.
I am getting mileage of 35 - 40 kmpl on highways. If you are more worried about mileage just stay away this is not for you. I am done with 24500 km and getting consistent mileage as of now. no issues with maintenance. Battery is still working fine, starts with a single flick.Many people worry about kick-less start but don’t worry its battery is powered with 12V, 9Ah battery almost double compared to normal bikes.
Cruiser bikes are being very costly in India and Bajaj offers with a competitive price tag of 85 to 90K!.
I can say its poor mans Harley:-) If you want Comfort riding experience and not worried about mileage then go for this little fat boy.
