Hoodibaba, eh?

Sometimes you have to surrender to advertisers. Really! I’ve seen many super-cool motorcycles on the road before from makers like BMW and all. But I haven’t ever shouted Hoodibaba! What these guys can come up with! Jokes apart, let’s come to the point.

Style and Build

Looking at this one in the showroom, I wondered who would buy this for it’s looks. I persoanly feel that there isn’t anything particularly inovative about it’s styling. Yet again, it’s nothing ugly, make that clear. I believe that Caliber 115 is one of those modestly designed vehicles.

And I don’t think we had to expect anything else. Remember this vehicle falls in the executive motorcycle’s segment. Naturally, it would be a sober design with nothing extraordinary yet an elegance that might catch a watcher’s eye. For style and build, I’ll give this one seven out of ten.

Performance

OK I’m impressed with this part. Caliber 115 has a 112 cc (roughly) engine. It delivers a power of 9.5 bhp at 8000rpm which is very good if you as me. All right, it’s not a fire-breather like Pulsar for sure. But it’s nothing wallowy either. With engine figures like this, Caliber 115 can go from nought to sixty in around seven seconds at least. And that’s really fast.

For performance, Caliber 115 gets eight out of ten.

Fuel Efficiency

I haven’t observed this vehicle really because I don’t know anyone who owns this. But I’ve asked passers-by at traffic signals. They all told me that the vehicle gives them somewhere between forty and fifty kilometers to a litre.

That isn’t very efficient if you ask me. You see, the Pulsar at 150 cc delivers that much. Certainly, more powerful vehicles are supposed to be less efficient than others. So now I wonder why they added Hoodibaba for this aspect. It gets five out of ten here.

Handling and safety

I have to agree that this vehicle is very good in this part. I found that it is very easy to control despite it’s weight. It responds to your breaks very fast. It responds to your turning without shaking or wobbling. Even if you pull breaks at full power on this one, it only skids. It doesn’t leave the line one bit. Caliber has a good enough weight (118kg) and so is pretty good on bumpy roads as well. I mean, even at fast speeds, this vehicle isn’t very easily bounced over. I’ll give it eight out of ten.

Summing it up

I’ve been pretty calm here, haven’t I? Not the usual verbosity as you find with me (!!). Well that’s because this vehicle doesn’t have too much to speak about. It’s a modest vehicle with modest figures. With modest styling, good performance and modest efficience, this vehicle really doesn’t deliver as much as it did in the advertisement! Over all, I’m gonna give it seven out of ten (an average of the marks alloted above). It certainly could have done better.
