Small and smart

Hi

Am back.... and this time it is not a review.....I have a few questions and would request the users to help me make a decision.

  1. Wind 125 production has been stopped, however it is still available with a few dealers. I have gone through both wind and discover and find wind to be a more suitable product for me. Now I have few doubts.... pls let me know what should I do.

  2. spare parts.

  3. servicing.

  4. IS discover dts I technology (twin spark plugs) really that much superior as it is just a 125 cc engine!!

AM really looking forward to some resposnes as I need to make a decision.

Thanking you..

Ashish

Hi folks,

This is my first review on mouthshut and I hope that I dont waste your

time. I first came to know about discover through overdriveindia.com

and I went to check out the bike it evoked mixed feelings. It had the

look of a mini pulsar and very lean structure. however it has state of

art features.

Lets go through some features about this bike:

Looks and technical Specifications

Though looks are upto the individual however one cant deny the fact

that it has a very lean structure. The tank looks very thin, somehow

you get a feeling that bajaj has over compensated for the over macho

looks of pulsar. And the Alloy version of the bike is still awaited in

the market.

Although exact tech. specifications are easy to gather so I wont really

divulge in that however few things stand out in this bike which are way

ahead of its competitors in this segment namely Victor Glx, Yamaha

Fazer, LML Prima. It has a bhp of 11.5 which is unmatched, electric

start option, unique ride controller for economy mode. All these

features give this bike a distinct edge over other bikes in this

market.

Test Ride Experience:

The whole ride experience was absolutely amazing. the moment you

release the throttle, It starts to zoom. One must see here that the

first three gears are very short but you dont feel that the bike is out

of breath even if you take it around 90-100 kms. The bike realy feels

good in handling and shock absorbers are fine. What I did is also to be

a pillon rider to see how it feels like and it was ok.

Other Factors:

Due to its DTS-i technology it gives 60 kmp/l under city conditions

which is pretty good and also the finishing of the colors is excellent

except the silver color. The headlight is very effective which is

noticeable.

All in all if you are ok with the lean structure then you should go for

this bike since it has features which the competitors have not even

thought of so far. Happy riding and a request.... please give your

reviews.

Thanx for ur time.
