I am from Dhaka, Bangladesh, I have purchased my Discover 100 DTSI 2 months ago and traveled 2.500 km plus till now. I have purchased it when Honda and Suzuki are going to start selling their bike in my country.
Bajaj is a reliable name in my country but I am not fully satisfied with this bike. I like the pick up, controlling of this bike. I am getting a mileage of 50 km per liter in Dhaka city and which is ok to me. I am sure, it will cross or touch 60 in high way.
Engine is very smooth and vibrate above 60. and hard to touch 80 for me, may be the bike will be smoother in coming up days.
What I do not like of this bike is, the electrical wirings are worst quality of this bike. Some time, my headlight is off at day time but it turns on automatically, Most painful part is, sometimes the rear brake light turns on continuously without any reason without turning on the parking light on or without pressing the brake lever and already I had to replace the rear brake cable once. & many other bikes of this model are facing this same problem.
Another bad thing is, it’s head light, it is not very powerful and it is not DC. when pick up is low, I get poor visibility from this light.
Horn is weak and I have replaced with the pulsar horn.This is the 4 gear version but I feel, there should be one more gear.Over all I am happy with this bike and If I do not sell this, I will post my review again after I cross or touch 5, 000 km.
My sum up is, Discover(100) from 2014 model is not in good build quality as like earlier version, same tested with 2015 manufactured model and it was same.
Not recommended.
