After reading all the different reviews on this column, I feel babies are as beautiful as ever. Here you need to try the bike before writing your comment. Overall from all the ’’reviews on Bajaj Discover’’ I find it to be a good bike. I too have a feeling that although the technology of the bike is perfect and unmatched in its segment, the bike doesn’t have the killer appearance. If the Bajaj could have made the appearance strikingly different, it should have been a big best seller.
The mistakes with this bike that I can see are
- Modeled on the lines of pulsar.
Pulsar and discover are different models, and they cater to different categories. So, it should have been modeled differently.
- The Odd Fuel Tank design.
Odd fuel tank shape, it should have been a bit smother and linear in shape.
- Head light.
The chrome round headlights with two cup shaped chrome speedometers would have been quit good. Other wise, change the bulging headlamp to a bit flatter one. Since it is sleeker bike, it should have slicker shape.
- Empty space around the tool box.
It should be covered with shaped plastic covers, just for the shake of decency !
- Fifth gear.
I wont say it is a demerit, but hey we can do without it !
- Alloy Wheels
It is there ! it is available, check the various options for the bike !

WHAT IT COULD HAVE BEEN, IF PROPERLY PROJECTED
One of the highest selling bikes in its category. I really dont find any bike close to this from any manufacturer on Power and Fuel specs. It is really good (as far as reviews that I have read) on technology, the engine looks good !
Many people in cities like bangalore are forced to buy pulsar due to the simple reason, THERE IS NO OTHER BIKE AVAILABLE TO MATCH PULSAR IN STYLE, POWER and MILEAGE. People like ME and many of others really dont like raw power@fuel.. which is really an occasional thrill. You really would not like to race like a champ daily while coming out of your office !
I and many others would prefer a bike, which would give them, good power to overtake the ’’sloth town buses’’ and a overall good mileage.. also power to chase behind girls (may be girl colleagues !!)
- It could have been another super selling bike, but alas what the hell these companies do.. hellish.. they should have at least a few TESTERS to point out errors and cause headache to the designers ^-^
HEY I REALLY WOULD LIKE TO SUGGEST TO THE DESIGNER OF THIS BIKE TO GO HIMALAYS AND LEAVE THIS WORLD OF FALSE PEOPLE WHO COULDN’T UNDERSTAND HIS/HER REVOLUTIONARY INNOVATION IN DESIGN.. BIG LOL
(I dont really know if the bajaj people are reading this review, if so please dont mind... I feel the bike is not that popular mostly due to design...)
