I have owned it for over 2 months now. In this update I will provide my experience since the first service.
Mileage - I got 54 KMPL. Most of my driving were in the range of 3-5 kms on campus, and the speed not exceeding 50. I hope to cough up more after second and third service. I will report the post second service mileage after a couple of months from now.
Power - Initially the power seemed not impressive at all. I complained this to the service center. However, now it seems to improve. I learnt that power will continue to improve further after second service.
Looks - as great as ever. I have got silver color and got a little trunk attached to the right side just above the muffler. Anybody knows if there are stylish trunks just made for Discover. The one which I got for around 400 plus does not look that great
Shift- the gears need to be changed back to 3rd at speeds lower than 30, or else you will have knocks. I agree with many other comments on this site, that there is a need for 5th gear. At 50 + speeds, you feel that bike needs to free itself from 4th gear.
Suspension - This is probably one of the best features of this bike.
Ride control - I do not feel any difference with or without it. I think bajaj needs to improve on it further.
ExausTEC- I do not see any difference either
Alloy wheels - I will need more information on this. How much will this cost if I want to upgrade my ES bike to have alloy wheels. Also will it make any positive difference on the power
On the whole, my experience with Bajaj Discover has been great so far. Please let me know if Bajaj is bringing in some improvements in this bike and if we can opt for them
