: I don’t know if its much awaited....but it is launched ...the new bajaj DISCOVER...
124cc(125)
11.something bhp
Company claims 60-75 kmpl
Nice pickup for a 125 cc
Bloated headlight...expanded version of the pulsar’s
No disc brake right now...
No alloy wheels as it was claimed earlier
Nice and simple bike no show off...
No great styling... but still catches the eye.
What I feel is that the only thing that a rider sees of the bike is the speedometer console.. sadly it is the cheapest part of the whole bike...??!! couldn’t bajaj invest some more money on it....its red in colour..with an unnecessary enlarged fuel guage...very LS... if the bike is ok ok and the meter console is impressive and sporty..then it makes the rider feel good about the bike...not real but as an illusion at least... it has a nice rear... the main usp of the bike is that it is DTSi ...just like the pulsar the dealers are wary about the average and blame all on riding conditions... they clearly told me that it a scaled down pulsar...pretty similar headlight (slight diff)
The bike pulled off pretty well ...(not to mention a 100kg hulk sitting at rear, he refused to get off! I told him take my DL but let me ride it alone...he was scared that I might steal his bike...never got off till the complete ordeal was complete...) no flashy stickers...simple bajaj and discover written on the tank and rear...
10 litre tank capacity.... had one good feature(i forgot its name)it controls your speed somewhat like a speed regulator...you switch it on and the acceleration paddle becomes heavy on certain speeds above a limit (I think 60) maybe its for better average...
Rest I can’t remember anything special of the bike... pulled off well...had respectable average...i could take it to 88kmph max...had better throtle control than a pulsar(I was told this ... he said that the silencer wont make wierd sounds on high speeds)...
I think it had the same silencer as that of a pulsar...maroon and black colours available right now...
tyres between thin and fat... it’ll manage to turn 3 heads out of 10 if you drive it to college... will be easy on the pocket can take you anywhere in delhi in 2 hrs... i think it will be cheap to maintain...
you wont look good if you drive it fast to impress girls(it zoooooooms but it doesn’t zoom...point clear?)
Buy it for long distance commuting if you want ok average...resp. looks...fast manoeuvreing...
Its for ard 45, 675 ...kick start..in delhi.(on road)
PS:It felt heavier that the usual 125 cc bikes
I liked it .
