I had purchased the new Bajaj Discover Sports 135 on the 30th Sept 2008. Till now completed 40000 Kms. Average KMPDay is 100.
Hence the heavy use. Well, as for me the bike has not posed any major problems, a little niggle here and there which will come with any bike of any manufacturer. Riding at 45-55 Kmph gives an average of 57-601 Kmpl. (Highway). Never tried in the city as I use the highways for my work. At 60-70 Kmph, the average drops to 46-50 Kmpl which I think is normal.
The comfort while driving is not good enough (the best - Hero Honda CBZ extreme). The ride is rather bumpy and not as promised. Gear shifting makes a tapping sound which I heard is associated with the Discover model. Ride control is good but the balance while high speed braking is somewhat missing as the bike tends to go in one particular direction and hence the danger of the bike skiding increases.
The chain makes a tapping sound which the service guys have not been able to eliminate, son living with the same. Headlights are excellent. You can drive in the night with condidence. Overall pretty satisfied with the performance.Please do tell about your experience also so that I can improve on my driving.
