I bought the Discover 100M mainly because they advertise it to give 84kmpl. However, I am getting only around 40 kmpl. This is totally disappointing as it was the main reason that I bought the bike. I was expecting the vehicle to give around 65-70 kmpl on road.
Also this bike will not start through the electric start if the bike has not been used for 2 days. I found that if I used my bike every day then the electric start works all right.I must add that that the bike is better value than the Honda bikes where they don’t give any free accessories with the bike. However, if the mileage is poor then it defeats everything.Cannot recommend this bike.
I have now completed the 1st 3 free services. Each time I have complained and each time they say they have tuned the bike and I should get 60kmpl and each time I check to find the bike gives less than 45kmpl.
UPDATE
After 2 years and all mandatory services the bike still gives only around 40kmpl. However, the starting problems have completely vanished.I only have to kick start the bike if I havent used it for a week or more. The engine is also running much smoother than new which is expected. I am however retaining the average rating because of the below par fuel efficiency
