The Bajaj Platina 100 is a good motorcycle for daily use from the Bajaj stable .It may be concidered as an entry level bike. Patina offers an amazing mileage which the company claims to be between 90-100 km/ltr. It is specially meant for the Indian market for excellent mileage to capture lower middle class by highlighting the mileage factor.This motorcycle is made out to be a low budget bike.
But, I will not consider it a value bike as the claimed mileage is under test condition’s and city mileage will hover around 60-70 km/ltr .
The quality or the design of the bike falls short of expectation and it also does not fall under a low maintenance bike. At high speed the bike appears to be very unstable thus ridding on highways becomes relatively unsafe.It also have problems with the clutch plates.
I would not recommend the bike.
