I like this bike for its economy. Indeed its the fill and forget bike for the Indian economy and the rest of the third world I guess. But ride too fast(say around 50 kmph) behind a lorry 10 feet in front and when the lorry halts all of a sudden, then you ought not be surprised about your existence in purgatory the next moment, wondering how you got there after your grey matter kisses the lorrys derriere like a crushed fly swatted down on a kitchen countertop.
If you really hate somebody so much. Somebody with a reputation for riding or driving in haste most of the time, someone who is a lousy time manager, then this bike is the ultimate gift for that much sought after comeuppance. Light and fast as it is with superb fuel economy, prolly the best in the market in that respect, this is a bike for the penny wise pound foolish kinda folks unless you bought this with the intention of substituting the front brakes later with discs so that Mr. Yumraj could take a hike.
I still regret buying this shitty bike after I realised that the drum brakes dont hold ground, (like most Bajaj drum brakes) but instead welcome the owner of these Bajaj bikes into the hereafter, not to mention that the brake shoe requires frequent replacement every 1000km. For someone who buys shoes only once a year, I keep wondering how my two wheeler owns more pairs of shoes in a year than I ever could in a lifetime. Get the XCD instead with front disc brakes or Discover and live a little longer. Of course you seldom live long with Bajaj two wheelers and Bajajs notoriety for safety features in their bike designs(or lack thereof). Need I say more?
