Bajaj pulsar 135 ls racing bike

Hi everyone o top end.damn. 149kph from a 370cc engine:/ a 150cc R15 does 130 on vbox and can cruise at 100-110kph. But 28nm at 3000 rpm means one can just ride in 6th gear all day and never have to downshift beyond 5th. A lazy bike for lazy riders.? For touring, you need

  1. Excellent mid end torque

  2. Good pillion and rider seat comfort

  3. Upright seating

  4. 100 -120 kmph cruising speed

  5. Atleast 400 - 450 kms tank range

  6. Easy repairability

  7. Load carrying capacity(Torque+ Vehicle ergonomics)( 180kgs rider+ pillion+ 25kgs of luggage)

  8. Reliability

  9. Efficient braking

Although Dominar nails most of the points and it’s good VFM, it breaks the deal when it comes to pillion comfort and torque .

It’s a direct rival to Classic 350, TB 350, CBR250R and Mojo .

Standard 500, Classic500, TB500 nails all the marks except 8 & 9, in a touring checklist and has best in class torque and pillion comfort.

Duke & RC 200, 390 are a different breed . They are everything but a relaxed tourer.

TL DR, When it comes to touring

  1. TB 500, C500, STD500

  2. Dominar 400

  3. CBR250R

  4. Mojo

  5. C350
