This is Arun from Chennai who is a proud owner of Pulsar-180 (UG-3). I have been riding my bike since 2 years.. I like the bike very much...It Handles well at any speed.One of the Stylish and Maintenance-free bike . Pick-up is awesome.Mileage a pretty-gud one between 45 -50. I used to Clean my bike Everyday. The Top-Speed I have attended is 120kmph. At that speed, the bike was having some Vibrations.The Rear Brake gets Loose once in a month.
As evferyone knows , Gearbox is not upto the mark and I have foundout good even in Crux..The bike is very good for Cityrides.. whenever I am going with my GF, i was challenged by 150-cc bikes..I will get tempted nd will start chasing them.But my GF behind me will stop if I cross 100kmph mark as she will not be able to face the wind and for Safety concerns. Because we met accident once near tidel-park.Whenever I take my bike in Highways of chennai, I will get challenged by Yamahites mostly and other bikes like 200, 220, apache -rtr, zma, fz-16 and off-course R15. I had beaten almost everybike.
Even R-15 upto 115kmph.After that it went past. But, My tough competitor is RX-100. yes I cannot stand infront of RX upto 100kmph.. Out of 10times, only twice or thrice I wud have won.Remaining won by RX Only.. I still wonder , how a 100cc bike with 11bhp gives a tough competition to a 180cc 16.5 bhp ?? As everyone knows, it is a power-weight-ratio... Rx weighs only 103 Kgs whereas Pulsy weighs around 153Kgs.This huge Diff in weight makes the Difference. But, whenever a RX crossing 100kmph mark, I noticed that sudden Break at that speed makes a RX -driver Scary.
But Pulsy makes it good. I think there is no much diff bwn 180 nd 200.. All the times , my 180 overtook 200 from inital stage itself. among 150 cc Rtr and FZ gives gud competition to 180. But mostly depends upon the driver who is driving the bike. because, on our trip to kodaikanal, my brother in Yamaha-Crux gave me a tough Competition in Bends and only in bends. As I was also a proud-owner of Rx-135, Now after seeing the Performance of a Legendary Two-Stroke Rx, I want to own one Rx-100. Always I used to Speak abt Bikes to my GF. Mostly nowadays I will speak about R15 only.I just love the bike. But I am waiting for R-125 as it is going to launh in Middle of June. Also, one more 150cc from yamaha is awaiting.It is V-xion. Also, bajaj has re-modified their 180, 200 & 220. 180 with 200 looks. 200 with Rear disc, FI, Split handle-bar etc.. 220 is getting more power. Tvs-apache with 180 cc with high Top-End.So I am confused which one to go.??. But Whatever may be the bike , nothing can Match R-15’s top End as of now in India.
