I got a Pulsar 200, just a month back want to share some of my experience with u all.I completed 1500 KMS in my bike.
My previous bike was Pulsar 150 Classic
I dont think Pulsar 200 is having more power or performance when compared to Pulsar 180 UG3(I covered a considerable amount of distance in 180 UG3),
First I will give you some of the disadvantes of the 200
1) Its tall when compared to other pulsars, Iam 6 ft tall still once I missed the balance in a Ramp and left the bike down.
2) It feels much heavier than 180.
3) The turning radius is more(Lot more) when compare to any other bike. Its just like switching to an old Maruti 800 after driving a Power steering vehicle.
4) Still most of the MRF shops are not supporting the tubeless tyres with puntcher service.
5) The heat from the Gear Box is more, But people in Bajaj service are telling that its well below the acceptable limit(I think if the Oil cooler is not there the Gearbox will go Red hot).
6) In the normal driving position the weight u give on your wrist is more, Sometime in long drives we can feel the pain.
7) Driving Position is sporty but some people can find it different.
8) If you are a guy who just wants to reach 70KMPH in City Traffic definitely P200 is not the bike.
9) Bajaj should have avoided extra gimmicks like Self cancelling switches etc. and given a rear disk
Positives.
1) Ultimate Smooth engine, But cannot be compared with Unicorn
2) Straight line stability is superb
3) Best Gearbox from Bajaj(False neutrals are very rare, Finding neutrals is not a tough job)
4) Service is Excellent.
5) Brakes are excellent
6) ride quality is the best among indian bikes.
7) Killer looks
8) Mileage is more when compared to P180.
Note:
Iam facing some vibration problems, but the Service guy has told that he will replace me the chain if the probelm continues for another 2 weeks.
Please check the entire vehicle before taking it out of the showroom, I faced with a vibrating headlight light assembly and some loose nuts.
Overall the bike is a real good executed package. If you like it u can take it without any concern. You can rule the highways for some time before the lauch of some real big bikes.
