Bought 200ns on 8th Dec 2012,
Mileage; 37 kmpl (overall)
Kms done: 2700km
Overall Verdict: "The only thing which I will like over it will be a Superbike the new pulsar 200ns is so good."
Good point:
Exceptional handler; I had rode ZMR, CBR 250, Apache, FZ, Duke 200, R15. Except for the Duke and R15 this bike is better handler than the lot. R15 is as good the ns and Duke 200 is much better than both, infact Duke has inverted shock ups (read abt it) and weighs only 126 so it literally feels like its flying.
Coming to ns just change its shitty stock tyres with softer compound like the MRF Revz and you will find its a corner king and litreally very stable and confidence inspiring at corners.
Performance: Guys the performance of this bike is superb its a 200cc yeah but its liquid cool which makes it more powerful than similar sized air cooled engine and the engine is also very much refined it feel quite smooth on riding. I have gone upto 115 kmph in 12 seconds on this bike and it was still ready to move more faster. Doing 100kmph is very easy the bike is not much stressed at that speed. Bike could be rode at speed of 90-100 kmph highways all day long without stressing the engine. Remember you have 23 and a half horses on your side.
Engine: The engine is smooth and doesnot creates much sound while riding. Just get it serviced right and be a little stict on maintenance for first few months.
Feel: I think this is the area where all pulsar had excelled to date. The good about the bike is its feel it is very civil but there is enough power to go wild under command. The throttle response is remarkable. Its you obedient horse will is more to what I like though some prefer a wild beast (DUKE, Apache are of that nature)
Bad Points:
Looks: The looks are good, I mean yeah its the most handsome pulsar till date but still FZ-s and DUke 200 are far better looking naked. Not to mention FZs is cheaper than the ns (though has less power). Anyways I always give first preference to performance and features than looks.
3 sparks Plugs: This is what freaks me out I feel that putting 3 spark plug which I feel might put stress the engine though bajaj is claiming that 3 sparks plugs deliver more fuel efficiency. I really wish bajaj removes the 2 extra spark plugs in later revisions they are of no us.
Stock Tyres: The stock tyres are downright bad and they destroy the feel of bike most of the people dont change it and those tyres could really get you into trouble if you going above 60 kph. Yes those tires are bad for high speed and fast acceleration and they tend to stop you from making hard corners. The solution is rather very simple you can change those with MRF Rev (buys the one for R15 V2) after putting on tyres with soft compound one can really appreciate handling of ns.
