The india largest selling bike Bajaj 220

The Bajaj Pulsar has been one of the legendary motorcycles Indian soil has ever witnessed. Back in 2001, the original Pulsar created an all new creed of 220cc motorcycle lovers, due to its beefy appearance and raw power. The motorcycle, still carrying much of the silhoutte of the original version, continues to set the sales chart on fire even after being too long in the tooth. It was, and still for many people, is a door to upper performance segments, without sacrificing on the traits of usability and fuel efficiency.

the bajaj pulsar 220 is the largest selling bike among the 200+cc bajaj related bikes.

The 220’s BSIII compliant engine has been upgraded to meet BSIV emission norms in the new 220F, however other specifications remain the same, which is a 220 cc, oil-cooled, single cylinder unit that is mated to a 5-speed gearbox. It produces 21.05 PS of maximum power at 8, 500 rpm and 19.12 Nm of peak torque at 7, 000 rpm.

The upgrades include a matte black finish to the exhaust canister, and a new backlit cool blue colour for the instrumentation cluster which previously used to be amber. It continues to have a mix of analogue tachometer and digital speedometer.

Speaking of ride comfort, Bajaj claim that the new enhanced material used on the seats should provide additional comfort and stability for the rider, and better cushioning for the pillion.

Braking is cobered by a 260 mm disc brake in the front and a 230 mm disc in the rear. The motorcycle weighs 150 kgs(kerb) and has a 15-litre fuel tank.
