The bajaj has done a job every company dreams of one day with pulsar 220F. The bike is no 1 selling sports bike in india.
I have been using the pulsar 220F from last 3 years. I will share my experience with the bike here.
The build quality- the build quality of the bike is good. Not very good but good. It has some problems like fairing rattling issues but apart from it, the bike is sturdy and heavy.
The ride quality- 220F is a heavy bike with 150kg weight. The weight and long wheelbase provides excellent stability on highways. But it also makes it a very difficult task to flick the bike in emergency situations. The seat and riding posture is very comfortable and I never feel too tired on long rides.
Power- with almost 21 ps of power and 19nm of torque, the bike is fast. It can easily do 140kmph on highways. You will never feel the need of more power.
Mileage- it kind of depends on how you ride and maintain your bike. With my riding habits and maintenance my 220f gives 38-42kmpl of milage.
Maintenance- its been three years and I haven’t spent a single dime to replace any part of the bike. Not even sprocket. Just make sure you use the good oil. I recommend Motul 7100.
The downsides? Well its the matter of preferences. For example, I dont like the exaust note of the bike. Some people love it.
