Guys ive been riding my p220 for a year and a half now and clocked 20k kms on d odo.i got my bike delivered in april 2010.the luks are stunning.im a die hard fan of pulsar brand.this bike has amazing power and acceleration.before 1st service my bike returned 30 kmpl.and on an average it returns 40 km pl.and guys believe me I even got 55 km pl for a period of 4 months wen handled properly!
the least I got was 25 km pl wen ridden continuously above 8k rpm
Ride and handling: this bike has excellent stability in straight lines.not comfortable with igh speed bends.the nitrox shock absorbers on d rear are a boon on our Indian roads.of the two disk brakes onl te front one is reliable.the rear one never works perfectly.
Engine: although this bike has excellent power and pickup it lags quality.i the first month itself at 1200 kms I got the rocker arms replaced.at 5000 had the cam chain replaced.10000 kms again cam chain problem.the tappet noise comes for ever.i had the tappet set more than 6 times but it ever sets.and now 20000 kms cam chain, gearshaft, valves have to b replaced.although all this comes under warranty it is very time consuming and expensive process(laour charge will b very high).
maintenance:the spare parts are cheap compared to karizmas and r15s but tey wear too quikly.rear disk pads need to b replaced every 2 or 3 months.service charge is ver high in probiking show rooms.
this bike is a true performer but has no durability.
go for this bike if ur planning to use for 2 or less dan 2 years.coz after two years it will get u repairs worth 5000 every month.coz every part starts wearing coz its BAJAJ!
