1. How did I come to know about Bajaj Pulsar and it’s specialities?

Mostly from Mouthshut.com I took a ride of my friend’s pulsar DTS-i bike ride, and found it extremely superb. Simply the best.

2. Pick-up.

More than expected. I thought that CBZ might be more powerful than the pulsar, but it turned out to b exactly the reverse. One trusted member told me that the powertoweight ratio (ptw) of CBZ was higher than pulsar because of the bulk of the bike. That is why pulsar gives more mileage than CBZ.

3. Comfort.

Unmatchable. It’s simply mast!!! Only problem is that the pillion seat is higher than normal, so (Indian) Women , when they sit sideways, they feel a bit uncomfortable.

4. Gear Shifting.

It’s a bit of a nuisance. It sometimes goes on to the wrong gear or shifts into the false neutral while being on the 5th gear of riding pleasure.

5. Mileage.

It’s expected to give 50-60, but let’s see. Time’ll tell.

6. Suspension.

I did not find anything so special of the suspension, as I read in others’ review.

7. Styling.

Well, this is the one which pulls me to pulsar. It has a decent look, with a perfect fuel tank. Any mistake in the fuel tank, the bike goes flop. The silencer and the pillion seat angle should be exactly equal, and these two should go parallel together. The DTS-i with the new kind of headlamps looks great, while the other one is ok. I drove with the round headlamp. I think dats better coz tis comfortable to stay on the bike while pulling the disc brakes, but not at high speeds.

8. Stunts\Circus.

This bike is ideal, (only the round headlamp) for wheelies and stuff. My friend’s younger brother, whose height is 6’2, can do wheelies for almost 20 metres on single rear wheel. I hope to learn that, coz when I tried that, I lost my balance. Luckily, I did it on an empty road, so I escaped unhurt. But remember, this is not any dirtbike to go always doing stunts. If any part is damaged, you need to rake a hell of money to get it back in shape. But after getting it repaired, driving comfort lowers down, as the bike’s balance gets disturbed. Do remember that mileage is really affected by these stunts.

9. Owners.

I have heard that after the bike gets old, it remains very shabby or you need to spend a lot to keep it in shape. I have not confirmed this yet. Once again, we have to depend on time for this. This bike is owned only by those who want style, mileage, and the best out of Indian bikes. Those slow poke, old aged drivers should never imagine to buy this bike. I came across many aged people on this kind of bike, and I observed that it was difficult for them to handle the bike. Well, how much can you expect from an old guy? I don’t mean any offence to such kind of people. I am just making them aware of things, if they want to buy.
